[Verse 1]
When you fill out that SF-86 form
There's legal power behind every norm
Executive orders paved the way
With statutes backing what they say
Ten-four-five-oh started the trend
Security requirements we defend
[Chorus]
EO ten-four-five-oh, ten-eight-six-five
Twelve-three-three-three, twelve-nine-six-eight alive
Title Five and Forty-Two
Title Fifty sees us through
Legal authority runs deep
These are the laws that we must keep
[Verse 2]
Title Five USC gives the base
Sections thirty-three-oh-one in place
Thirty-three-oh-two follows along
Ninety-one-oh-one keeps it strong
Federal hiring gets its power
From these statutes every hour
[Chorus]
EO ten-four-five-oh, ten-eight-six-five
Twelve-three-three-three, twelve-nine-six-eight alive
Title Five and Forty-Two
Title Fifty sees us through
Legal authority runs deep
These are the laws that we must keep
[Verse 3]
Atomic secrets need control
Twenty-one-sixty-five fills that role
Twenty-two-oh-one from Forty-Two
Nuclear safety sees us through
Chapter Twenty-Three of Fifty
Keeps internal security nifty
[Bridge]
CFR Part Two and Five
Seven-thirty-one keeps us alive
Seven-thirty-two and Seven-thirty-six
These regulations are in the mix
Social Security numbers too
EO ninety-three-ninety-seven's due
[Chorus]
EO ten-four-five-oh, ten-eight-six-five
Twelve-three-three-three, twelve-nine-six-eight alive
Title Five and Forty-Two
Title Fifty sees us through
Legal authority runs deep
These are the laws that we must keep
[Outro]
From executive orders to USC
This legal framework sets us free
To investigate and verify
The SF-86 will never lie
Authority stacked from ground to sky
That's the legal reason why
