[Verse 1] Picture the brain as a switchboard city, Parietal towers wired to frontal committees, Matelli and Luppino mapped the cable lines, Segregated loops, each pair runs its own design. LIP calls up the Frontal Eye Field, Saccades fire fast, a target gets revealed, Eyes snap like shutters, quick and clean, Two areas humming the exact same scene. [Chorus] Loop it, pair it, keep it parallel tight, LIP and FEF send the eyeballs to flight, VIP and F4 guard the skin from attack, AIP and F5 shape the hand before contact, PF, PFG with F5 mirror what you see, MIP, V6A and F2 reach for the tree, PE, PEc with F2 and M1 steer the limb, Six circuits dancing, never crossing the rim. [Verse 2] VIP maps the air around your face, F4 answers, readies a flinch, a brace, Peripersonal bubble, defense built in, Blink before the swatter even starts to spin. AIP studies the shape your fingers meet, F5 sculpts the grip before you make the feat, Cylinder, pinch, or power hold, The plan gets drafted, then the story's told. [Verse 3] PF and PFG, the mirror-coding crew, Watch a hand grasp cherries, feel it too, F5 neurons fire for watching and for doing, Action understood without a word pursuing. MIP and V6A chart the reach you aim, F2 catches the signal, arm joins the game, PE, PEc track where your limb resides, Feeding F2 and M1 with postural guides. [Verse 4] Johnson, Ferraina, Bianchi, Caminiti found A gradient sliding, eye and hand signals wound Tangentially matching, frontal mirrors parietal grade, A smooth terrain where both maps are laid. Area 7a and LIP keep climbing higher, Wired to forty-six and eight, the prefrontal spire, Cavada, Goldman-Rakic, Selemon too, Found interdigitated columns stitched like a quilt askew, Spatial memory woven column by column, Working memory built from circuitry solemn. [Bridge] Borra, two thousand eight, Cerebral Cortex spoke, AIP's inbox where identity and action soak, Temporal area TEa, TEm whisper "that's a cup," Forty-six-v from the front says "now pick it up," Object meets motion in a single node, Grasp and recognition share the same road. [Outro] LIP, VIP, AIP, PF, MIP, PE — Say the chain and watch the pathway agree, Parallel, segregated, yet reaching the same end, Parietal whispers, frontal cortex is the friend.
