[Verse 1]
When review time comes around again
You're sitting there with paper and pen
Trying to recall what you achieved
But half your work you can't retrieve
The crisis from last month feels so clear
But strategic work just disappears
[Chorus]
Write it down, write it down
Don't let your best work hit the ground
Real time notes will save the day
When memory starts to fade away
Document now, don't wait until
Your achievements climb that uphill
[Verse 2]
Your manager has the same problem too
Can't remember all the things you do
The architecture that you built with care
The risks you caught that weren't quite there
Prevention work just fades from view
While firefighting pushes through
[Chorus]
Write it down, write it down
Don't let your best work hit the ground
Real time notes will save the day
When memory starts to fade away
Document now, don't wait until
Your achievements climb that uphill
[Bridge]
Not just reviews but interviews
Promotion talks and career moves
Building up your practice strong
Evidence beats stories long
Strategic contributions shine
When you document in real time
[Verse 3]
The solution isn't memory tricks
It's capturing your wins and picks
Each policy that you refined
Each gap that you were first to find
Write them down when they occur
Make your impact crystal clear
[Chorus]
Write it down, write it down
Don't let your best work hit the ground
Real time notes will save the day
When memory starts to fade away
Document now, don't wait until
Your achievements climb that uphill
[Outro]
Strategic work deserves its due
Documentation works for you
Write it down and watch it pay
When opportunity comes your way
