Zelenskyy Says Trump Is Pushing Ukraine to Yield to Russia

According to Bloomberg, Zelenskyy also offered a new proposal to accede to Trump's request to stop targeting Russian refineries[2] in exchange for more Patriot air-defence missiles. Zelenskyy told Bloomberg: "But they just want us to stop attacking diesel.[2]And if we strike that, they will disconnect us from something."[2]Bloomberg reports that Zelenskyy listed what he called unfriendly moves by Washington, including the deliberate slowing of Starlink internet speeds[2]. Asked who ordered the Starlink move, Zelenskyy pointed to "the authorities, the White House," citing "sources" he didn't identify[3], the outlet said.According to Bloomberg, tensions peaked after Trump struck a deal with Vladimir Putin under which Washington would refrain from further tightening sanctions on Russia in exchange for Moscow supplying limited volumes of diesel[3]. Bloomberg reports that Trump accused Zelenskyy of wanting to prolong the war, writing: "He doesn't want to end this war, and probably never did."[3]Bloomberg also cites a Wall Street Journal report that Putin proposed a meeting with Trump and China's Xi Jinping next month to discuss ending the war[3].
