According to Iran International, UKMTO said the tanker was travelling southeast, 72 nautical miles east of Saudi Arabia's Ras Al Khafji, when it was hit on its port side at 23:47 UTC on November 1.[2] The outlet says the agency was citing a report from the vessel's master.[2]Breaking The News quotes UKMTO as saying: "All crew members are accounted for and there is no reported environmental impact at this time.[3]InvestingLive reports that UKMTO advised vessels to transit with caution and report suspicious activity while authorities investigate. It did not identify the vessel or say who was responsible.[4]Khaama Press reports that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy separately claimed that two oil tankers had struck sea mines while using what it described as an unauthorised route through the Strait of Hormuz, according to Reuters.[5] Khaama adds that there is no confirmed link between that incident and Iran's separate claim[5].
