According to the Canada Gazette website, Part II "contains all enacted regulations and statutory instruments"[2], and its regular editions are published every second Wednesday[2]. 2026-20 lists the October 21 Part II edition under three headings: the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999, the Explosives Act, and "An Act to amend the Criminal Code, the Sex Offender Information Registration Act and the International Transfer of Offenders Act"[1].For that Criminal Code amendment act, Osler's report lists an order putting "Section 35 in force the 90th day after the day on which this Order is made (October 09, 2026) (PC 2026-0975)"[1].Natural Resources Canada says in its 2026–2028 Forward Regulatory Plan that a second package of explosives amendments was published in Canada Gazette, Part I on November 1, 2025, with publication in Canada Gazette, Part II expected in Fall 2026.[3] The department says the package contains proposed amendments to enhance safety and security while modernizing program underpinnings such as the licence, permit, certificate, and fee regimes.[3]The Canada Gazette website lists its 2026 Part II editions as "Volume 160"[2]. It numbers the 2026-10-07 edition Vol. 160, No. 20[4].
